Basic Chocolate Frosting (that tastes anything but “basic”)2016-01-26

- 1/2 cup better, softened
- 2 2/3 cups confectioners' sugar
- 1/3 cup heavy cream (can use milk if you don't have heavy cream)
- 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
- 1/3 cup unsweetend cocoa powder (for light), 1/2 cup (for medium) or 3/4 cup (for dark) chocolate
Cream butter in a small bowl with mixer (I use a stand mixer).
Blend in cocoa powder (the amount you've chosen), vanilla, confectioners' sugar, and cream. Beat with an electric mixer until the desired consistency is reached. (If you'd like it slightly thicker, add a little more confectioners' sugar...if you want it a little less thick, add a teaspoon of heavy cream at a time until you've got it right).
NOTE: If you decide to use more cocoa powder, you may need a little more cream to reach the desired consistency.
