June 7…Update on the Health Tests

Update for those who are following the health situation:

Yesterday’s vaccine seemed to go over without very little issue. I had some tenderness at the sight of the shot, which was to be expected. The other one she warned me about was flu-like symptoms, meaning low-grade fever and maybe some body aches, and I was “just to suffer through it without meds” because otherwise, my system might not kick in the way it’s supposed to.

Exempt I felt fine last night.

So this morning, I got up and went to work as usual. About 10:15, we went out into the heat for about half an hour and I started kind of “seeing spots” and feeling dizzy a little. I thought it might just be the heat, so I ignored it. Broke into a sweat, probably just the heat. Just ignored it. Headache started, probably ’cause I hadn’t eaten much (and yet this doesn’t usually happen this early in the morning).

So we get back to the office, I decide to eat some of my lunch, maybe that’ll help, and about five bites to the food, I’m suddenly so nauseated I’m fighting back vomiting. And then the stabbing pain in my heat begins. Just over the left eye.

OMG, I didn’t think it would ever end, couldn’t focus on words. I laid down on the (disgusting) floor and tried closing my eyes, actually got WORSE.

Yup. Hello migraine. I haven’t seen one this bad in years.

Somehow I made it home, curled up in the dark room with some water after taking my migraine meds, and eventually, was able to fall asleep.

When I woke up at 5, the headache was gone, so was the nausea, the fever, everything, but I felt weak…really, really weak.

Khwage made me some tea and I started feeling better.

So I’m glad that’s over.

And yes, looking up the side effects, this stuff is all on the list for the shot.

Hopefully, it’ll be worth it.

Meanwhile, did I tell you that these patches on my back (allergy tests) are driving me nuts, they ITCH?!!!!!!
